The Platforme sprang out of the open-mic poetry
movement that took root in Kansas City around
1997. Continuing the work of organizations such
as VERBAL ATTACK and the Black Poets
Collective, The Platforme will bring you some of the
hottest poets in Kansas City, MO. Listen to Poets
