The Black United Front is gearing up to host the
annual City Wide Kwanzaa celebration.  The seven
day event kicks off Dec. 26th and runs until Jan. 1st at
the Gem Theater located in the historic 18th & Vine
Jazz District.
Each Night of Kwanzaa is hosted by a different
organization.  The first night, hosted by NBUF will
feature a musical tribute to the liberation struggle.
Other host include, ACE Schools, DuBois Learning
Center, MC Players, The American Jazz Museum and
the Black Poets Collective.   The last day of Kwanzaa
is set aside for the Umoja Karamu (unity feast)
Kwanzaa was started by Dr. Maluna Karenga as a
means of getting back to the roots of African Culture
during a time when there is so much craziness.
